Jericho and I took a trip up to Batangas City the other week for a bit of r&r as well as to check out and attend the blessing of the new property at PonteFino that is currently underway: The Terraces at PonteFino.
Located in the port city of Batangas, PonteFino, the PonteFino brand is expanding it's Hotel & Residences, after the uaint PonteFino Prime, and the elegant extension of their hotel, PonteFino Residences.

The European-inspired designed hotel looked absolutely magnificent in the daylight. This would be the view of the new loft-type property - overlooking the pool and right across from the hotel, making it quite the convenient location.
The local parish priest blessed the ground the new project would be erected on as well as the cornerstone, with the brokers, media, and local government officials looking on. Is it just
me, or does the priest remind you an OPM singer?
After the ceremony, there was the inaugural picture taking to commemorate the event with the former and present mayors of Batangas City, Vilma and Eduardo Dimachua, and the brokers and staff of PonteFino's The Terraces.
There was a short presentation with the CEO of PonteFino, Ricky Gutierrez, the COO, Fely Ramos, and the city engineer.
The Terraces at PonteFino is a midrise condotel that you can lease out to Hotel PonteFino if you'd like to use your investment as added revenue. The very modern loft-type design is practically unheard of for a condotel in this country, and makes it very appealing to the expats who come here to work in Batangas City's oil and shipping industries.
So who invests in these condotels, you ask? A lot of them are Batangueño OFWs who are looking for a place to retire to when they come back yet can make them a pretty penny while they're still working abroad. Pretty smart, eh? With the development happening in Batangas City nowadays, and development projects heading down south (have you seen Nuvali lately?) this is a pretty slick investment opportunity.
In the evening there was a small gathering of PonteFino staff and brokers, as well as officials of Batangas City to celebrate the groundbreaking event.
They really went all out with the Philippine Azkals and Miss Philippines winners also gracing the event. In Batangas, it really is go big or home!
I was exhausted, but Jericho and the rest of our new friends danced the night away with the live band singing to hits of the 80's and a few of the more modern favorites.
